Commoditization is due to a lack of perceived value - low beliefs. Create massive value. Live in heroes journey *
Biggest Achilles heal of every brand * How I know this* Why it matters. We talked about the curse of knowledge and we talked about confusing commoditized shoppers/categories/messaging * Most strategies don’t consider the shopper journey and they don’t focus on your unique shopper - they commoditize generic shoppers - Sales and marketing is not aligned - usually siloed. This is a great opportunity for you to differentiate your brand. The reason for the 30 day challenge.
Consider how you feel when a brand personalizes their offer - burger king (have it your way) Starbucks, etc. Who ever imagined the value of a $5 cup of coffee - its the perceived value - the thing the cool kids do.
Next, help shoppers down the path. It may sound simple and even insulting - shoppers what us to tell them what to do and in what order. Consider online shopping - why cart abandonment is so high - same as in retail.
